Mulled Cyder

Serves 4-6 people


4 500ml bottles of Aspall Draught Suffolk Cyder
1 Cox’s apple
1 star anise
6 allspice berries
2 cinnamon sticks, halved
6 whole cloves
6 tbsp of soft brown sugar



Pour 4 500ml bottles Aspall Draught Suffolk Cyder into a large pan.

Stir in 6 tbsp of soft brown sugar together with 6 whole cloves, 2 cinnamon sticks, halved, and 1 star anise. Heat gently and simmer, without boiling, for 10 minutes.

 Add one apple, unpeeled but cored and thinly sliced, and heat gently for a few minutes until the apple is tender. 

Ladle into mugs or heatproof glasses and drink warm. Enjoy!
